Counselling and Psychotherapy in my consultancy close to Hampstead Heath provides you with a supportive space to explore issues that affect your quality of life in a space just for you. Both Counselling and Psychotherapy can support you to make sense of your life in a way that leads to increased resilience and renewed hope. Sessions can be taken on a short or long term basis depending on your needs. Counselling can be experienced on a shorter term basis ranging from a few sessions to several months whilst psychotherapy takes place over a longer period. Psychotherapy can offer you a space for deeper reflection simply because it takes place over a longer period and offers longer ongoing support through difficult times or simply during the times when you need a little extra support.

Due to Covid my practice has moved online. All sessions take place securely online using the Zoom platform. When you first come to see me I assess your needs and adapt your therapy according to your individual requirements to provide you with a space to deepen your understanding of yourself and simply reconnect. Your initial Counselling or Psychotherapy consultation is free of charge so you have time to explore what you need from therapy and to see if it's right for you, and for me to assess if I can support you.

Counselling and Psychotherapy usually takes place on a weekly basis, though some people feel the need to come less often. The aim of it is always an improved quality of your life and relationships. It can be as much about celebrating your strengths and fulfilling your aspirations as well as facing and working through difficult experiences with support in place.

Counselling and Psychotherapy takes place at a pace that provides stability for you and the regularity of it is determined by what's most helpful for you at these times in your life. We can explore what pace of therapy is best for you and how often you need to come. Then this rhythm can change as you do. Just as different phases of life need different resources Counselling and Psychotherapy can be an additional resource you have in place when needed and depending on whats going on in your life.

As a Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor I have 22 years post graduate experience in private practice and work with clients who have experienced a range of struggles including stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationship difficulties.

I provide treatment for Doctors and healthcare professionals in my private practice in Hampstead and at The Practitioner Health Programme - PHP - an NHS service that provides a safe haven and confidential treatment for Doctors and Dentists. The Doctors I provide treatment for in my Psychotherapy practice have experienced a wide range of stress related issues including anxiety and depression.

But you don't have to be one to benefit from counselling and psychotherapy in my practice! Everyone is welcome to apply for counselling or psychotherapy. I believe anyone can benefit from counselling and psychotherapy as a stable, supportive resource in their lives. Just having a stable space in the background of your life can be enough to support you through difficult times whilst learning new ways to recover and strengthen your resilience. This is especially true during these uncertain times as Covid has emerged in the world.

As a supervisor for counsellors, psychotherapists and trainees I provide clinical supervision within a relational framework and supervise across orientations including Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Transpersonal models

My inspiration have been the men and women whom I have been privileged to work over the years including many healthcare professionals, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists. They have withstood immense pressures in their chosen crafts often at great cost to themselves. It takes courage to access support in a system that expects you never to need it.

As a Psychotherapist and Counsellor supporting women to heal and empower themselves has also been a lifelong thread of inspiration throughout my career.

I have been equally privileged to work with the men in my practice. Many of whom have struggled with debilitating judgements many cultures all over the world place on them, to view vulnerability as weakness. Rather than to honour vulnerability as an essential part of being alive, and of being a man.

These men and women are some of the most courageous and creative survivors in the world.
