Counselling and Psychotherapy in my consultancy close to Hampstead Heath provides you with a supportive space in which to explore issues that may affect your quality of life, in a space just for you. Counselling and Psychotherapy can support you to make sense of your life in a way that leads to increased resilience and renewed hope and can be taken on a short or long term basis depending on your needs. Counselling tends to be taken on a shorter term basis whilst psychotherapy takes place over a longer timeframe. Psychotherapy offers you a space for deeper reflection simply because it takes place over a longer period of time and offers you ongoing support through difficult times or simply times when you need a little extra support.

Due to Covid my practice has moved online. All sessions take place securely using the Zoom platform. When you first come to see me I assess your needs and adapt your therapy according to your individual requirements to provide you with a space to deepen your understanding of yourself and simply reconnect. Your initial Counselling or Psychotherapy consultation is free of charge so you have time to explore what you need from therapy and to see if it's right for you, and for me to assess if I can support you.

Counselling and Psychotherapy usually takes place on a weekly basis, though some people feel the need to come less often. The aim of it is always an improved quality of your life and relationships. It can be as much about celebrating your strengths and fulfilling your aspirations as well as facing and working through difficult experiences with support in place.

Counselling and Psychotherapy takes place at a pace that provides stability for you and the regularity of it is determined by what's most helpful for you at these times in your life. We can explore what pace of therapy is best for you and how often you need to come. Then this rhythm can change as you do. Just as different phases of life need different resources Counselling and Psychotherapy can be an additional resource you have in place when needed and depending on whats going on in your life.

As a Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor I have 22 years post graduate experience in private practice and work with clients who have experienced a range of struggles including stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationship difficulties.

I provide treatment for Doctors in my private practice in Hampstead and at The Practitioner Health Programme - PHP - an NHS service that provides a safe haven and confidential treatment for Doctors and Dentists. The Doctors I provide treatment for in my Psychotherapy practice have experienced a wide range of stress related issues., including anxiety and depression.

I treat Healthcare professionals but you don't have to be one to benefit from counselling and psychotherapy in my practice. Everyone is welcome to apply for counselling or psychotherapy here. I believe anyone can benefit from counselling and psychotherapy as a stable supportive resource in their lives. Sometimes just having a stable space in the background of your life can be enough to help you through the difficult times whilst learning new ways to strengthen your resilience.

As a supervisor for counsellors, psychotherapists and trainees I provide clinical supervision within a relational framework and supervise across orientations including Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Transpersonal models.

My inspiration have been the men and women whom I have been privileged to work with, including the doctors, dentists and psychiatrists I have worked with over the years who have withstood immense pressures in their chosen careers at great cost to themselves. It takes courage to access support because of pressures inherent in the system you work within. People who have courageously overcome prejudice and pursued careers founded on the desire to help others.

As a Psychotherapist and Counsellor I have also witnessed courageous women who have risen above painful experiences to make immense meaning of their lives and who have moved onto achieve great aspirations. Supporting Women to heal and empower themselves has been a lifelong thread of inspiration woven throughout my career. I have been equally privileged to work with the men in my practice, many of who have struggled to overcome shaming and debilitating projections societies across cultures have placed on them, to always be strong and to view vulnerability as weakness. These women and men represent some of the brave hidden survivors in the world.
