Psychotherapy and Counselling in my consultancy close to Hampstead Heath provides you with a supportive and confidential environment in which to explore any issues that may affect your quality of life in a space just for you. My aim is always to support you to make sense of your life in a way that leads to renewed resilience.

Psychotherapy and Counselling can be taken on a short or long term basis depending on your needs. Counselling tends to be taken on a more short term basis whilst Psychotherapy takes place over a longer period. Psychotherapy can offer you a space for deeper levels of reflection and growth simply because of the ongoing continuity of the work. Growth and realising one's potential takes time.

When you first come to see me I assess your unique needs and adapt your therapy according to your individual requirements and provide you with a space to deepen your understanding of yourself and simply reconnect. Your initial Counselling or Psychotherapy consultation is free of charge so you have time to explore what you need and to see if it's right for you.

Psychotherapy and Counselling usually takes place on a weekly basis, though some people feel the need to come less often. The aim of it is always an improved quality of life and relationships. Counselling and Psychotherapy can be as much about celebrating your strengths and nurturing and fulfilling your aspirations as well as facing and resolving difficult experiences and always takes place at a pace that provides safety and connection for you.

  • My inspiration have been the women and men whom I have been privileged to work with, including the doctors and psychiatrists I have worked with over the years who have withstood untold pressures and debilitating projections that society places at their feet - to be the panacea of all ills for everyone, at great cost to themselves. It takes immense courage to reach out when you reach breaking point because of the pressures within the system you work within. They are also people who have courageously overcome prejudice, abuse, trauma and debilitating pressure in the pursuit of a deepened sense of purpose and fulfillment in their lives.

I have specialised in working with women for 30 years witnessing courageous women who have risen above painful experiences to make immense meaning of their lives, who have moved onto achieve great aspirations. Supporting Women to heal and empower themselves has been a lifelong thread of inspiration woven throughout my career.

As a Psychotherapist and Counsellor in more recent years I have been equally impressed by the men I have worked with, recognising how much courage it takes for men to reach out so that they too can heal, given the shaming and debilitating expectations societies across cultures place on them - to always be strong and to view vulnerability as weakness. I see men as some of the hidden survivors in our world and it has been a great privilege to work with some of them.
